A Winter's Tale

This evening celebration of "A Winter's Tale" will be cancelled due to incoming storm system with rain, sleet and freezing rain predicted to begin around 3:00pm and lasting throughout the evening. We will not be rescheduling this event for 2009.

ATBI Free Teacher Training by Discover Life in America
Learn how your classroom can become a part of the National All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory. This effort is now successfully underway in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and has discovered thousands of species not previously known to exist in the Park and hundreds of species new to science. Currently FULL! - Wildlife Rehabilitation Workshop
This 2 day educational experience for adults 18 years of age and older is designed to enhance your knowledge of rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife. You will be able to register for a NC State Wildlife Rehabilitator's License once you complete this 16-hour course. Registration if now FULL for this workshop 3/10/10

the Nature Center will be closed for two days in observation of the Chirstmas holiday - we will reopen at 10:00am on Saturday Dec 26.
New Years Day CLOSING
The Nature Center will be closed Friday January 1, 2010, but will reopen for regular business on Saturday January 2 at 10:00am
Work Day Wednesdays - Volunteers needed!
We will be closing the doors to the Nature Center just on Wednesdays in January and February to facilitate work projects. If you or a group of interested volunteers would like to assist in our various projects, give us a call at 298-5600, ext 305. 18 years and older, please.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day CLOSING
The WNC Nature Center will be closed Monday January 18, 2010 in observation of Martin Luther Kning Jr.'s birthday. We will reopen Tuesday Januray 19 at 10:00am.
