The Friends of the WNC Nature Center are growing faster than ever!  Every day visitors come to our office to become Members, our calendar is now filled with special events and we are finding new, creative ways to share the latest exciting Nature Center news!  All of these things have allowed the Friends to find new and better ways to support the WNC Nature Center through increased funding, community support and further outreach.  It also means that, as a small non-profit, the Friends of the WNC Nature Center need volunteers like you more than ever before.

By volunteering with the Friends you are not only doing your part to bring more animals and great exhibits to the WNC Nature Center, but you also receive numerous other benefits including invitations to special events, more opportunities to spend time with the animals and several others besides!

There are lots of ways that you can volunteer for the Friends--whatever your interests or skills may be, we have a place for you!  From promoting the Friends during Nature Center events or helping out with Hey Day to managing our Membership database or joining the Board of Directors, there's room for everyone.

Visit our Volunteer Opportunities Page to learn more about all the different ways you can volunteer for the Friends.  You can also follow us on Facebook & Twitter to learn about opportunities as they arise.
