'Tis the Season To Do Some Shopping...
The holiday season is upon us, and this leaves me with one dilemma: what do I get for my one very special niece? She’s not picky by any means, but I want to get her something that will leave a lasting impression (after all, I am her favorite Auntie M)! With Black Friday just around the corner, I was practically biting my nails at the Thanksgiving dinner table trying to strategize how I could steal a deal for not only my niece, but all of my loved ones. And then it hit me. As an employee at the Nature Center for more than seven years now, I can’t believe I didn’t think of this sooner. Why not help out my workplace by adopting an animal for my niece through the Friends of the Nature Center?
I guess the only tough decision I had left was…which animal should I adopt? I finally settled on the otter (my niece just loves Olive), and before I knew it, my holiday shopping was over! I can’t believe how easy it was. The prices for adopting an animal are reasonable, there were no long lines, no stampedes, and I was able to make all of the transactions online. Now the only thing left to worry about is whether or not my niece is snooping around the Internet and knows what she’s going to get for Christmas. Shhhh! Don’t tell!
