Environmental Education Internship (non-pay)

Objective: The education department at the WNC Nature Center has a continuous desire to assist college students in their endeavors to educate children, adults, and families on environmental issues. Most of what we teach deals with indigenous animals of the Appalachian Mountain bioregion.

Duties include: learning three educational classes and present them to a variety of audiences. Design and develop one educational project during your internship. Assist the education department in on-site and offsite educational programs. Be able to work unsupervised. Strong communication skills required.

Specifics: willingness to learn about flora/fauna of the Appalachian region. Able to work well with others, especially children. A desire to discover more about yourself.
