Thank you for choosing the WNC Nature Center for your birthday party!

 Our birthday parties at the Nature Center are open for reservations on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year.  We have two time slots for them each day: 10:00 am - 12:00 noon or 2:00 - 4:00 pm.  The cost is $200.00 for either two-hour timeslot.  If you are a member of the Friends of the Nature Center, your cost is $175.00 per timeslot. 

Your payment includes:

• 25-guest passes to the Nature Center for that day only. 
• The Nature Center will supply the birthday child a free small gift (additional gifts available for extra person at $5.00).
• You receive the birthday room with full use of the kitchen facilities along with a private bathroom.
• You may check in 30-minutes prior to your scheduled time to set up for the party.
• We ask every party to be cleaned up 30-minutes after the reserved timeslot has ended.

Birthday Party Policies

For your safety, the safety of the animals and the visitors, we ask that you abide by the following rules:

Please check in at the front desk when you arrive.

If you have more than twenty-five guests for your party, there is an additional charge of $8.00 per adult and $4.00 per child (ages 3-14).  If more than ten adult guests over the twenty-five number, you will receive the fifty cents off discount per adult ($7.50 per person).

An adult must accompany children under the ages of 16 at all times.

The Nature Center and Gift Shop close at 5:00pm. 

We welcome music and other activities, but ask that it be kept at a minimum volume so as not to interfere with other Nature Center visitors. 

Please keep your visitors off the stairwells leading to the reception area, out of the lobby, and other high volume traffic areas.

We ask that you keep the balloons at home.  Helium balloons can easily escape and have the potential of becoming a food item for many animals, causing suffocation and intestinal blockage.

Please make sure to clean up the room and kitchen after your party.  If the room needs additional cleaning after your party has departed, a charge of $50.00 will be charged to your credit card, so please help us with leaving the room as clean as you found it. 

Reservations may be made over the phone using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard only) with payment in full at the time of the reservation. Please call during the week (Monday - Friday) to make your reservations. Click here to download and print the Birthday Reservation Form.

Cancellations: full refunds will be given with any two-week advanced notice of your scheduled date.  We will also grant hazardous weather conditions for cancellations with full-refunds (hurricanes, snow, ice, flood).  Cancellations made between three-days and two-weeks from your scheduled even will receive 50% of your refund.  Cancellations two-days or less from your scheduled party will result in forfeiture of any refund.
