Festival of Knowledge

10:00am – 3:00pm

This is a free statewide invitation to all schools (public, private and home school families).  Posters, displays and three-dimensional creations will be judged for information, creativity and workmanship.  Participants will be interviewed by judges for knowledge of content of their project. Prizes will be awarded.  Obtain an application for your entry by calling (828)298-5600, X305. 

Categories include:

Build a Bug (be creative and construct a three dimensional  creature - real or imaginary - with poster presentation explaining the ecology & biology of your animal.)

Cultural Science (traditions, music, clothing, arts, foods, language, hunter/gatherer societies, etc.)

Natural Science (outside of entomology, any subject on the natural sciences are welcomed, i.e.; weather, space, minerals, oceans, soils, birds, mammals, herpetology,  etc.)
