Nature Center’s
Doggie Jail at Belle Chere 2008
July 25, 26 & 27
Volunteers needed!
Volunteer at this year’s Belle Chere with the Nature Center’s dog drop-off where visitors can bring their pet at our kennels while they enjoy walking through the festival. We call it “Doggie Jail”, but it is more like “Doggie Sanctuary”.
This is a great time to participate in Belle Chere if you have never been. Our booth of dog kennels, biscuits and fresh bowls of clean water will receive dogs starting at 10:00am on Friday and Saturday, July 25 & 26th, and starting at 12:00noon on Sunday, July 27.
Each volunteer is asked to work 4 hours and then enjoy the festival at their leisure. On Friday and Saturday, we will stay open until 8:00pm and will break down our display at 6:00pm on Sunday. If you have a strong back and would only like to help set up and/or break down the display, we would very much appreciate the offer and the muscle!
Those times would be as follows:
Set up: Friday July 25 at 9:00am starting at the Nature Center
Break down: Sunday July 27 at 6:00pm at the festival.
Please contact Keith Mastin if you would like to help out our community with participating with Doggie Jail at the 2008 Belle Chere event in downtown Asheville by calling 828-298-5600, extension 305 Monday through Friday.
