Improvements are ongoing here at the WNC Nature Center! The construction and landscape of our Appalachian Friends Garden is complete, and we’re getting closer and closer to being finished as we add some final touches here and there.
The first names of our Appalachian Friends Donors (those who have given $2,000 or more) have been placed high on one of the eagle sculptures designed by local artist George Handy. We have also painstakingly (and I mean painstakingly…those bricks are jammed in tight!) installed several bricks from our latest Buy-A-Brick donors. These are bricks with names or short messages from our $100 givers.
Plus, with the holiday season upon us, staff has carefully decorated the Nature Center with holiday lights. The Appalachian Friends Garden is no exception with a beautiful holiday tree adorning the center of the garden. Come take a look at what we’ve done thanks to our generous donors!
If you’re inspired by all of the changes, make a donation while you’re here. Look inside the lobby for the Join Our Food Chain brochure, Buy-A-Brick to remember someone you love or Adopt-An-Animal for a holiday gift!
And be sure to come back again soon. There’s a rotating wolf figure on its way!
